Obituary of Pasquelina Mary Purpura

Pasquelina Mary Purpura Marcy-Frankfort - Pasquelina Mary Purpura, 94, formerly of River Rd. Marcy and Frankfort passed away Thursday, August 25, 2005 in Valley Health Services. She was born in Auburn on September 22, 1910, the daughter of the late Michael and Lucy De Palma Ciallelo and attended schools there. Mary was the owner and operator of Pat´s Diner, Oriskany St. Utica for many years. She was a Communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles, Frankfort. Mary is survived by her beloved son & daughter in law, George & his wife, Loretta Purpura of Utica; granddaughter, Susan Purpura of Utica; one sister, Mary Bernadine of Little Falls; one brother, Michael Ciallelo of Frankfort; special nieces, Jane Marine, Carmela Loiacano and Josephine Mezza and several nieces, nephews and cousins who were very dear to her. She was predeceased by one brother, Pvt. John Ciallelo US Army KIA WWII and one sister, Rose Campione. Her funeral will be held Monday morning at 9:00 am from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 9:30 am in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Alfred Lamanna, pastor emeritus. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday afternoon from 3-7 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Mary's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of the Valley Health Servcies for the wonderful care and kindness shown to her during her illness and passing.
