Ms. Joan M. (Gisondo) D'Alessandro
New Hartford - Ms. Joan M. D'Alessandro, 65, of 204 Higby Rd passed away Saturday, November 18, 2006 in St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse.
She was born in Utica on February 19, 1941, the daughter of the late Rocco and Anna Arciero Gisondo. She attended Utica schools and graduated from Whitesboro High School with the class of 1958. She later attended and graduated from Utica School of Commerce with the class of 1996. Joan was employed as a Book Keeper for several area businesses for many years.
Joan is survived by her beloved companion, Joseph Spataro; three daughters & sons in law, Gina & Robert Polk of Colorado Springs, Michele & Michael Kem of New Hartford and Luci & Marco Peterie of Colorado Springs; one son, Todd D'Alessandro of Colorado Springs; her cherished grandchildren, Luci, Robert, Chaelie, Fallon, Chloe, Alicia, Brittany; one great grandson, Armani; two sisters & brothers in law, Mary Lou & Dennis Fallon of Sylvan Beach and Susan & Walter Schreck of Clayville; one brother & sister in law, James & Cheryl Gisondo of Santa Monica, CA; her brother in law, Charles & Frances Joseph Jr. of Sherrill; her nieces & nephews, Laura & Robert Curtin, Jill Gisondo & her companion, Nick, Jill & Dennis Fallon & their daughter, Catherine, Blue Fallon & her son Nicholas, Josh & Maureen Schreck, Jennifer & Michel Di Giorgio & their children, Michael, Gabriel, Pauline & Julien, Samantha Schreck, Michael & Kristin Schreck and their daughter, Madison, Jason & Sonya Kuklinski, Julie Hartman & her children, Christian & Hunter and Jeff Joseph and several cousins. She was predeceased by one daughter, Lisa D'Alessandro on May 7, 1966, one grandson, Clayton Polk on November 19, 2000, three sisters, Eileen Moore on January 4, 1973, Ann Kuklinski on October 18, 1993 and Judy Joseph on June 20, 1993, her son in law, Dean Gonzalez on August 13, 1994 and her brother in law, Robert Kuklinski on November 11, 1988.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 in Resurrection Chapel of Holy Trinity Cemetery, Champlain Ave. Utica with the Rev. John Flanagan officiating. Entombment will take place in her family mausoleum in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort.
