Ms. Violet M. Cugliandro Herkimer - Ms. Violet M. Cugliandro, 82, of 327 Dewey Ave passed away Thursday, January 4, 2007 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital. She was born in Herkimer on December 18, 1924, the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Theresa Vona Cugliandro and she attended Herkimer schools. Violet was at one time employed by Derby Sportswear and later for General Electric, Broad St Plant for many years until her retirement in 1974. She was a Communicant of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church. Violet is survived by one sister, Clara Cugliandro of Herkimer; one brother & sister in law, Anthony & Theresa Cugliandro of Ilion; a very special and dedicated nephew, Gary & his wife, Agnes Cugliandro of Herkimer and his family, Kelley, Kimberly and Marie Elizabeth and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three brothers, Dominic Cugliandro in 1991, Angelo Cugliandro in 1984 and John Cugliandro in 1943 and one sister, Catherine Crisino in 1980. Her funeral will be held Monday morning at 9:30 am from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer and at 10:00 am in Sts. Anthony And Joseph Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Ligato. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Sunday from 4-7 at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home.
