Helmtrud Hack

 

Utica - Helmtrud Hack, 84, of Utica passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023 in Masonic Care with her family by her side.

 

She was born in Rayden, Germany on May 2, 1939, the daughter of the late Gustav and Helgard Marquardt Hack. The family came to the United States in 1954. She attended Utica schools and graduated UFA and later received her Bachelor’s Degree in German from Georgia State University. Helmtrud was a Flight Attendant for Delta Airlines, Atlanta, GA for many years until her retirement in 1994. She loved to bake and do crafts for her family and friends.

 

 Helmtrud is survived by brother and sister in law, Ingolf and Anna Hack of Hilton Head SC; her sister, Monica Hack Polkosnik of Utica NY; one nephew, Ingolf and his wife, Eliza Hack of Locke, NY; her great nephew, Ian Hack and several cousins. She was predeceased by her nephew, Jeffrey Hack in 2009.
  

Her funeral will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Her funeral arrangements are under the direction of the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Avenue, Frankfort.
