John Martin Case

 

Utica - John Martin Case, 65, of Utica passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023 in Little Falls Hospital.

 

He was born in Ilion, New York on November 29, 1957, the son of the late Paul Vincent and Mary Martin Case He attended Richfield Springs schools and graduated from Richfield Springs High School with the class of 1975. John joined the US Navy in 1978 and was Honorably Discharged in 1982 with the rank of BU 2 on December 30, 1982. He was married to Catherine Henderson on December 31, 1981 in Gulfport, MS. Catherine passed away in 2011. John was a Repairman for Thermo King, in both Mississippi and in the Utica area when he returned to this area in 2006.  He was active in the VA Center, Utica and a member of the AS Guards MC Highway Patrol, Gulfport, MS.

 

John is survived by one daughter, Chanda Case of Jackson, MS; his grandson, Easton Case; one brother and sister in law, William and Fran Case of Ilion; two sisters and brothers in law, Rose and Joseph Hubiak of Van Hornesville and Ellen Case of Ilion and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

His funeral will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer, NY.
