Sandra Brelinsky

Herkimer - Mrs. Sandra Brelinsky, 92, of Herkimer, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018 in Foltsbrook Center Nursing and Rehabilitation, with her family by her side.

She was born in Izby, Poland on May 6, 1926, the daughter of the late Nikolas and Aleksandra Sheptak. Following WWll, Sandra left Europe on June 12, 1948 and arrived in NYC on June 15, 1948. She was married to Louis Brelinsky on September 4, 1949 in SS Peter & Paul Orthodox Church. Louis passed away on February 28, 2004. Sandra was employed as a Custodian for West Canada Central School for many years until her retirement in 1989. She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, E. Herkimer.

She is survived by two sons and daughters in law, William and Cindy Brelinsky of Herkimer and Richard and Donna Brelinsky of Newport; her beloved grandchildren and their spouses,

Michael Brelinsky and his wife, Maryanne of Texas, Brian Brelinsky of Boston, Sean Dutcher of Binghamton, Amy and her husband, Rich Dommer of Newport, Michele and her husband, Todd Warmingham of Newport, Robb Dutcher of Binghamton and Rick Brelinsky and his wife, Kana of Newport; eleven great-grandchildren; her in laws, John and Winnie Brelinsky of Little Falls, Mary Sidoran of Barneveld, Tina Stanley of Denver, CO and Sadie Steciak of Florida; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter, Diane Brelinsky Dutcher on March 1, 2018.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 in the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home Inc. 203 Second Ave. Frankfort with the V.Rev. Thaddeus Franta, Rector of SS Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, 305 Main Rd. Herkimer, officiating. Interment will be in SS Peter & Paul Orthodox Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday morning from 10:00 until the time of services. Funeral arrangmenets are under the direction of the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer.
